I'm thrilled to have been awarded a Regional Arts Development Fund (RADF) grant for the project "Professional Development through Creative Mentorship Sessions with Topology".
In this project I am undertaking professional development activities in Brisbane and Logan through creative mentorship sessions with Topology and associated artists. My focus areas are:
-
Jazz singing/piano (with Sharny Russell)
-
Recorder (with Sarah Meagher)
-
Composition (with members of Topology)
-
Arranging (with Craig Allister Young)
-
Promotion (with members of Topology)
Topology’s marketing and business development team are mentoring me in promoting my practice and assisting me in creating employment opportunities and new projects. Topology are also working with me to create and implement community engagement programs for the City of Logan.
The final part of my skills development programme will be a major performance with Topology at a venue in Logan (to be announced soon!).
This project is supported by the Regional Arts Development Fund (RADF). RADF is a partnership between the Queensland Government and Logan City Council to support arts and culture in regional Queensland.
